QUARTZ FELDSPAR MICA ROCK - 22

Quartz Feldspar Mica Rock : It is a very common mineral found in the earth’s crust. It is often seen in road cuts along the Ontario highways up north. It tends to be pink. It is a well known semi precious stone that shows dramatic blue and green schiller. It is commonly found in granite. It looks like a flower in daisy stone and Chinese writing stone.

Uses: Mica is really a whole host of minerals, muscovite, biotite and chlorite being the most common.  Mica is soft and can be distinguished by it perfect cleavage, which means the mineral breaks into very thin sheets.  It is easily eroded to form clay minerals. So it is a widely used semi precious stone.
